We left Barcelona and arrived at our airbnb in Granada this morning. It is an amazing little paradise in the heart of the old city. You enter a gate off the cobble stone street through a heavy iron gate into a garden with an edible landscape full of grapefruit, pomegranate and various orange trees. The house has an amazing view of Granada and the hills beyond.

After getting settled we decided to wander into town to see if we could find a place to eat. We walked by a quaint wine shop where Marianne popped her head into just to see what it was. A couple was in the small shop wine tasting and Marianne told the man working there that we were looking for somewhere to eat and we would be back. He said that they had food there and could work something out. So we all piled into this small shop where they brought out round after round of the most amazing food paired with great wines. By the end of our long meal the Canadian couple that were wine tasting when we arrived and the shop owner along with our group were having a blast telling stores about ourselves eating fantastic food and sipping delicious wine. We couldn’t have planned an experience like this if we had tried. We have been very lucky that way since our trip began.

We continued with a walkabout town in the evening just wandering through fun side streets and plazas and surprising court yards.

We walked back up to our house and finished the night with a fun holiday movie called spirited.
