Seville Dec. 26th – day 10 by Jacob

I’m back! Don’t worry though no history lesson today.

Day 10 our trip began with a nice breakfast a just few minutes from the apartment, just down the street from the beautiful cathedral de Sevilla.

We had plans to explore Real Alcazar palace today but after going through the line to get in we found out they were out of tickets for the day.. instead we set out to see Plaza de España which absolutely blew our socks off (or at least mine anyway)!

Absolutely stunning as you walk up, and truly difficult to wrap your head around the scale until you’ve walked end to end. We found some flamenco dancers performing with a massive crowd under the center pillars, only a taste of what was to come later that night. Saying our goodbyes to the plaza we crossed the street into the park, instantly transporting us to a tropical island with palm trees, lots of sun, and greenery.

After getting sufficiently lost in the jungle we walked home for our much needed siesta before dinner. The night consisted of going to an on-stage flamenco dance where we went into a theatre and watched an hour long show, leaving us all in bewilderment of the incredible dancers who supposedly went on to do another show directly after ours.

We finished out the night by going to a restaurant just a block away from the apartment where we had an a great server and Mom and I found a pork dish to die for.

It was a full day and we all came back to try and get some shut eye, but the people getting drinks at the bar below us had other ideas and made for some grumpy and sleep deprived travelers in the morning.

P.S. I have officially decided that Granada is the coziest city and overall my favorite that we have visited, while Seville is the coolest and most packed with interesting things to see.
